Teófimo López signs exclusive broadcast deal
Teófimo López (22-2, 13 KOs) has signed an “exclusive multi-fight agreement” with DAZN.
The news was announced through a press release and on social media on Monday. Specifically, the broadcaster have signed the deal with López’s Takeover Promotions LLC. It will see the two-division world champion have his bouts broadcast on DAZN for the foreseeable future. Exact details regarding the deal, such as length and the number of fights it entails, were not disclosed in the press release.
The bout to kick off the agreement will be López’s clash against Rolly Romero on Aug. 22. It headlines a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) card at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. Fight fans around the world will be able to catch the action live as a pay-per-view (PPV) with DAZN and Prime Video. Romero’s WBA welterweight world title will be at stake.

“This is the beginning of a new era for ‘The Takeover,'” said López in a press release statement. “DAZN understands the vision I have for my career and gives me the opportunity to pursue the biggest fights against the best available opponents. It starts August 22 at 147 pounds. Rolly has the belt, and I’m coming to take it.”
