Liam Paro wrests 147-lb world title from Lewis Crocker with decision win
Liam Paro (28-1, 16 KOs) is the newest titleholder at welterweight following his unanimous decision victory against Lewis Crocker (22-1, 11 KOs).
Scores were 115-113 across the board. Paro is now the IBF welterweight world champion with the win. He was previously a super lightweight titleholder, losing the belt in his first defence against Richardson Hitchins.
Crocker-Paro headlined a No Limit Boxing card at the Pat Rafter Arena in Tennyson, Australia. Fight fans in Australia could catch the action live as a pay-per-view (PPV) through Main Event and Kayo Sports. The rest of the world was able to do so as part of their DAZN subscription.

Paro built an early lead by being the busier of the two. Crocker was aggressive and landed the harder shots, but threw punches at a lower volume. Paro’s nose was bloodied in the second round, but he was still able to outwork his opponent early on. The Australian’s punches may not have hurt Crocker that much, but he made sure to stay busy.

The reigning champion was briefly stunned by a left uppercut and left hook to the head early in the fifth, but quickly recovered. By the end of round five, Paro was rocked by a straight right hand upstairs. He clinched after being hit with a right uppercut and eventually made it out the round. Crocker continued to land hard shots in subsequent rounds, but Paro was still able to land at a higher volume.

The Irishman swung at Paro after hurting him late in round 11, but the challenger was able to stay on his feet. Crocker did what he could to get a knockdown, but the Australian continued to move off of the back foot and clinched to avoid getting hurt. Paro was cut by the left eye in round 12 and the fight was stopped so that a ringside physician could examine it. The bout was allowed to resume, however, with Crocker resuming his hunt for the finish. Paro remained on his feet until the final bell and was ultimately crowned the IBF welterweight world champion.
