Jaron Ennis vs Eimantas Stanionis: Full Undercard Breakdown

Jaron Ennis vs Eimantas Stanionis (15-0, 9 KOs) will be the headline fight of a Matchroom Boxing card on April 12 at the Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City. The entire card will be shown live on DAZN in over 200 countries. All eyes will be on this intriguing welterweight unification world title fight – but the undercard has some intriguing matchups and appearances from some hot prospects. Ahead of fight night, here’s a full breakdown of the undercard.

Jaron Ennis vs Eimantas Stanionis: Breaking Down the Undercard

Raymond Ford vs. Thomas Mattice

Raymond Ford (16-1-1, 8 KOs) returns to action on the undercard against Thomas Mattice (22-4-1, 17 KOs). Following his loss to Nick Ball, the American moved up to super featherweight and impressed as he dominated Orlando Gonzalez. Ford will want to impress against the durable Mattice before moving on to bigger fights.

Arturo Cardenas vs. Christian Carto

Arturo Cardenas (15-0-1, 8 KOs) will take on Christian Carto (23-1, 16 KOs) for the WBC continental super bantamweight title. Cardenas has come through two tough fights against Danny Barrios Flores and Jesus Arechiga Valdez. Carto has plenty of experience and will look to upset the 24-year-old Mexican.

Shakhram Giyasov vs. Franco Ocampo

Shakhram Giyasov (16-0, 9 KOs) will face Franco Ocampo (17-2, 8 KOs) in the welterweight division as the Uzbek fighter looks to move closer to a world title shot. He dominated last time out against Miguel Parra and seemingly scored a clear KO shot, which was ruled a low blow. The split-decision scorecard was not a reflection of the fight. The Uzbek fighter should have too much for his Argentine opponent.

Omari Jones vs. William Jackson

Omari Jones (1-0, 1 KO) vs William Jackson (13-5-2, 5 KOs) in the super welterweight division is all about the 2024 Olympic bronze medallist. He was hugely impressive on his debut as he showed poise and power, which saw him dominate and stop Alessio Mastronunzio. Jackson has lost three in a row, including last time out against Avious Griffin.

Tahmir Smalls vs. Earl Bascome

Tahmir Smalls (13-0, 9 KOs) vs Earl Bascome (13-1, 2 KOs) will meet in an eight-round welterweight bout. Smalls moves his feet well, controlling the distance. He also snaps his jab out, a weapon for the 25-year-old. Bascombe will be up against it despite only losing once in his career. He has been unbeaten since 2017, but this will be a huge step up in class for the Baltimore fighter.

Zaquin Moses vs. Alex Pallette

Zaquin Moses (2-0, 1 KO) is a highly regarded prospect and a great addition to the undercard as he faces Alex Pallette (1-3, 1 KO). He enjoyed a successful amateur career, winning multiple national championships, including an impressive win over Curmel Moton in 2023. Moses looks set to enjoy a great professional journey and has shown clear promise in his two pro bouts so far.
