Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez (63-2-2, 39 KOs) will soon defend his undisputed super middleweight world championship against Terence “Bud” Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs).
Their bout headlines a Zuffa Boxing card at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV. Fight fans around the world can catch all the action live on Netflix.
Both men spoke at a press conference ahead of their September 13 fight. Below is some of what they had to say.

Canelo vs. Crawford press conference quotes
Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez
“I feel great,” said Canelo. “For me, this fight means a lot. I feel great. I can’t wait for Saturday night and thanks everybody [for] coming to support the event. I can’t wait. Thank you.”
“This fight for me is big. It’s one of the biggest fights in my career for sure. Means a lot [to be able to win it] and it’s going to be in the very top.”
“[I promise to bring] my best. My best performance. I’m going to put everything I have in this fight and you’re gonna see all my elements there in the fight.”
Terence “Bud” Crawford
“I’m feeling great,” said Crawford. “I’m ready to go shock the world.”
“Well, anybody can be a nobody and for what everybody say I haven’t fought anybody. Come Saturday we gonna all see.”
“I think fights like this help the sport of boxing grow in a sense of having the best fight the best and it ain’t gonna do nothing but make the sport better. The best going to start fighting the best.”
Fight prediction
Is there really any doubt that Canelo will win on Saturday? The undisputed champion has plenty of experience at super middleweight and has even fought at light heavyweight. On the other hand, Crawford has never fought higher than 154 lbs and did so only once. Expecting the American to win this fight is the height of ridiculousness. Crawford’s hands and feet will be nowhere near as fast as they were at welterweight and below. He will struggle in a fight at super middleweight.
However, Canelo has struggled to end fights within the distance since defeating Caleb Plant. His punch output is not the same as it once was, meaning this clash could go the distance if Crawford chooses not to fight on the inside. Expect Canelo to retain his undisputed championship with a unanimous decision win in what will be a not so entertaining fight.
