Spence- Garcia to be fight of year candidate already?

We are counting down to the much anticipated IBF Welterweight Title fight Saturday night between unbeaten champion (24-0, 21 KOs) Errol Spence Jr. and former four division unbeaten (39-0, 30 Kos) challenger, Mikey Garcia.

The bout is scheduled for Saturday night on Fox’s first ever boxing Pay-Per-View from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX before an anticipated crowd of over 35,000.

Now, we get you ready for this battle with our “Big Fight Weekend Podcast.”

I’m joined by Jonas Knox of Fox Sports Radio in L.A. for his insight and a prediction on this showdown. Then, Jay Betsill, a.k.a. “The Famous Jay” who is my podcast partner on our movies, “We’ve Seen That, lives in DFW. And, he’s on the show talking about Spence being from Dallas, the fight at the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium and how much interest there is in this one for the locals.

Next, Marquis Johns of BigFightWeekend.com is on the podcast to give his thoughts and a prediction on who wins, and what specifically, Spence is looking at later in 2019, including possible possible fights with WBC Champion Shawn Porter, who won a week ago over Yordenis Ugas. Spence might also be fighting WBA champ, Keith Thurman, who made a successful return after a two year layoff from injuries by winning by decision in January of Josesito Lopez.

Finally, David Payne, a.k.a. “The Boxing Writer” from England, joins me for his usual great insight. David talks about the significant risk Garcia is taking by jumping up two weight classes to fight this fight, and gives a prediction on the outcome, too.  We also talk some nostalgia, again, about the Welterweight battles of the past between Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas “Hit Man” Hearns, and Roberto Duran, etc.

Put up your dukes, and let’s go! Spence has knocked out or stopped 11 straight fighters. Let’s see if Garcia can hang with him? It’s Big Fight Weekend podcast below!
