Turki Alalshikh Aims to Break UK Boxing Attendance Record With Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois

Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) will collide with Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs) for the IBF world heavyweight title in the main event of a Riyadh Season card at Wembley Stadium. The undercard is impressive, and Liam Gallagher will also be performing, with the entire event available on DAZN PPV, TNT Sports PPV, PPV.com and Sky Sports Box Office. His Excellency has already revealed general admission tickets for the event have now been sold, with a limited number of Platinum and Hospitality tickets remaining. It now appears Turki Alalshikh wants to break the UK boxing record attendance of 94,000 at Wembley Stadium for Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte, by submitting a request to extend the capacity.

Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium

Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois on September 21 Set to Claim Attendance Record

On April 23, 2022, Fury and Whyte set the British boxing record for the largest attendance at Wembley, with 94,000 witnessing “The Gypsy King” stopping Whyte in round six.

His Excellency said via his X account: “Due to high tickets demand..we’ve requested to extend the capacity at Wembley Stadium for the highly anticipated bout between Joshua and Dubois at #RiyadhSeasonCard Wembley Edition. We hope to set a record for the largest attendance in boxing history at Wembley Stadium.

AJ will be one-half of the main event at Wembley, where he fought Wladimir Klitschko in front of just over 90,000 fans in 2017. While this will be the biggest stage of Duboi’s career, a win for the Greenwich-born fighter would mark one of the most impressive turnarounds in boxing, with DDD written off after his defeats to Joe Joyce and Oleksandr Usyk.

A win for AJ would make him a three-time heavyweight world champion and grant him access to an exclusive club, including Vitali Klitschko, Lennox Lewis and Muhammad Ali.
