Ty Tomlin Rides Along With Local Police
Last night undefeated lightweight boxer, Tyler “Short Fuse” Tomlin (11-0, 7 KOs), did his first of many planned ride-along with local police in Cheatham County, TN, where the rising prospect resides. Tomlin recently joined local law enforcement in the fight against drugs and an opioid crisis that has crippled his hometown.
Tomlin will soon be addressing on the topic at local middle and high schools in his surrounding area. Tomlin wants to see the drug issues that his hometown is dealing during these ride-alongs so he can help be a part of the change for the better and safer community.

“The drug issues that are debilitating our community need to be addressed and I want to do my part to help.” stated Tomlin, who recently signed a multi-year promotional agreement with DiBilla Entertainment. “Last night was my first ride-along with local police and it was an experience I’ll remember for the rest of my life. I don’t think people realize how bad it is out there. Young men and women are dying out there in the streets. This drug epidemic is nothing to be taken lightly. I’ll be doing more ride-alongs throughout the year to get a better idea of what to say when I speak at the schools.”
Due to Covid restrictions Tomlin was unable to get into the schools this school year, however, he plans to start the new school year with planned visits to talk about drugs and addiction. Ty wants to send a special thanks to the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office for Friday night’s ride along and all their assistance in the fight against drugs in his hometown of Cheatham County.
