Queensberry Promotions Secure Deal with ‘Exceptional Young Fighter’
Queensberry Promotions enjoyed a memorable 2024 and looks set to have a huge 2025, with their new broadcasting deal with DAZN set to start in April. Ahead of that new deal, Frank Warren and Queensberry have announced the signing of Puerto Rican amateur Yandiel Lozano.

Frank Warren Excited for Yandiel Lozano Deal
Lightweight amateur sensation Lozano will turn professional with Queensberry after winning a silver medal at the 2024 IBA World Youth Championships. He began boxing at seven under the guidance of trainers Juan ‘Memo’ Lopez and Jose Garcia.

His amateur career saw him amass a record of 119-9. He was a four-time winner of the Bert Sugar Tournament, a Florida Junior Silver Gloves winner, and a two-time Puerto Rican national champion. During his impressive amateur career, he also won the Scholastic Games twice and won the Roy Jones Tournament. His pro career will see him managed by the much-renowned industry figure Shelly Finkel.

Lozano seemingly has the skills to become a fan-friendly fighter. He moves his feet exceptionally well and carries plenty of power. His footwork and overall defensive attributes will also make him hard to hit.
“I am hugely excited to bring yet another exceptional young fighter to Queensberry,” said Warren.

Looking ahead to the future, Warren said: “With our DAZN broadcast partnership fast approaching, we stated our intention to widen our talent pool beyond the UK and return to promoting in overseas territories. Yandiel will play a big part in our new horizon when he enters the professional ranks with us.”
Warren added: “We have always enjoyed a strong friendship and long-standing working relationship with his manager Shelly Finkel and I am extremely happy to be working with him to develop the career of Yandiel.”
