Davis Targets Top Lightweight Champions
After a messy opening two rounds, Davis scored a knockdown in round three with a left hook to the body. Berinchyk beat the count, but in round four, “The Businessman” landed another brutal left to the body, keeping his opponent down for the full count. A dominant performance from the 25-year-old Norfolk native.
In the ring following his impressive KO performance, Davis said: “Man, it was an amazing feeling [to win].” The 2020 Olympic silver medallist continued: “[I will face] anybody that has the balls to step in the ring and fight me.
“There are two 135-division champions that I would love to fight. If they have got the guts to step in the ring […], tell them to send me a contract, or I will send them one.”
What’s Next for Keyshawn Davis?
It’s safe to assume the two champions Davis is targeting are WBA champ Gervonta Davis and IBF title holder Vasily Lomachenko. Keyshawn Davis recently spoke to talkSPORT.com and made it clear he has no intention to fight WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson: “No, I’d never fight him,” said Davis of a possible clash with Shakur.
“It would be weird, I would never fight him. I met Shakur when I was 14.
“He was there when I was in a mental home. He was calling me up, checking up on me,” said “The Businessman.”
“There is no hate in Shakur’s heart. He knows what I can become and what he can become,” added Davis.
