Boxing heads back to Canada as ESPN+ will be streaming live the IBF light heavyweight title eliminator between Jean Pascal (36-6-1) and Michael Eifert (11-1). The fight will be held at the Place Bell in Laval, Canada, with the winner facing the unified champion Artur Beterbiev at a later date. There is plenty of motivation for both men to give it their all on Thursday night in Canada.

Pascal is a fighter that has continued to earn opportunities even though he tested positive for PEDs some time ago. When focused, Pascal can still turn in a solid performance like the unanimous decision victory over Fanlong Meng last May. Overall, Pascal is on a three-fight win streak, and if successful on Thursday, he will once again receive a shot at the light heavyweight title.

On the other hand, Eifert is a young 25-year-old who has been a pro for only five years. The German fought Adriano Sperandio in July, winning unanimously and earning the right to be in this eliminator with Pascal. He doesn’t have many knockouts (4), so if he is going to beat Pascal, he will have to box well and avoid his power punches for twelve rounds which is no easy task.
