George Kambosos Jr. vs. Maxi Hughes: How To Stream and Full Fight Card

On July 22, George Kambosos Jr. (20-2, 10 KOs) will face Daniel “Maximus” Hughes, better known as Maxi Hughes (26-5-2, 5 KOs), at the FireLake Arena in Shawnee, Oklahoma, USA. The bout will serve as an eliminator for the IBF lightweight title currently held by undisputed champion Devin Haney. ESPN, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN+ will broadcast the event at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

Kambosos became unified lightweight champion with an upset victory over Teófimo López on November 27, 2021. Since that fight, López went on to claim the WBO super lightweight title. On the other hand, Kambosos lost back-to-back fights against Haney in a bid to become undisputed. The clash against Hughes will be his first since those losses last year.

In 2019, Hughes lost for the fifth time in his professional career. That has not deterred him, however, as he since won seven fights in a row. Among the fighters he has defeated in that run is former world champion Kid Galahad and contenders such as Jono Carroll and Ryan Walsh. Like Kambosos, this will also be his first fight of 2023.

Hear Dan Rafael and T.J. Rives discuss more about Kambosos-Hughes on the newest “Big Fight Weekend Preview” podcast below.

Also part of the broadcast beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT is another lightweight clash between highly touted prospect Keyshawn Davis (8-0, 6 KOs) and Belgian Francesco Patera (28-3, 10 KOs). For Davis, the fight is another step-up in opposition as he hopes to win a world title in 2024. Patera will look to stop him in his tracks and secure a title shot of his own.

Beginning at 6:15 p.m. ET/3:15 p.m. PT, ESPN+ will broadcast preliminary bouts. Among the fighters on this portion of the card are Oklahoma native Jeremiah Milton (9-0, 6 KOs), Olympian Troy Isley (9-0, 4 KOs), and 30-0 welterweight Giovani Santillan (30-0, 16 KOs).
