Kabayel vs. Sanchez
Sanchez and Kabayel produced impressive wins on the “Day of Reckoning” undercard on December 23. Anthony Joshua is the number one ranked heavyweight contender – with his next fight being against Francis Ngannou – he looks more likely to follow the IBF route, as previously mentioned by Eddie Hearn.

Joseph Parker is ranked third by the WBC, but he has a challenging fight against Chinese southpaw Zhang Zhilei (26-1-1, 21 KOs) scheduled for March 8. If Parker could defeat Zhang, he would become the WBO interim champ.
According to Dan Rafael via his substack, a date of June 1 has been mentioned for Dmitry Bivol vs. Artur Beterbiev – and if the representatives of Kabayel-Sanchez can agree on terms – it is not unrealistic to think it could be an undercard fight on the Beterbiev-Bivol card.
Recent Fights
Sanchez defeated Junior Fa by seventh-round TKO on the “Day of Reckoning” undercard. Kabayel arguably stole the headlines on the undercard in Riadyh, brutally dismantling the previous undefeated Russian giant Arslanbek Makhmudov. The unbeaten German dropped Makhmudov three times, with some punishing shots on the way to a fourth-round TKO victory.
If the fight happens, it promises to provide plenty of fireworks, with both possessing plenty of KO power.
