Three Potential Jake Paul Opponents in 2025
Three Potential Jake Paul Opponents in 2025
On November 15, we witnessed the return of Mike Tyson (50-7, 44 KOs) who returned to the ring after 19 years in retirement to face Jake Paul (11-1, 7 KOs), in a fight “Iron Mike” lost by unanimous decision. The 8×2 minute heavyweight bout was the main Most Valuable Promotions card on Netflix with 65 million “concurrent streams” for the fight. The entire card took place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, where fans could also claim 150 FS on Slotozilla. Following this win for Paul, many have asked what is next for “El Gallo.” Here are five potential opponents for Paul.
Three Exciting Opponents for Jake Paul in 2025
Winner of Tommy Fury vs. Darren Till
On November 17, Misfits Boxing confirmed that Tommy Fury (10-0, 4 KOs) will face ex-UFC star Darren Till (1-0, 1 KO) in the main event of the MF & DAZN: X Series 20 on January 18. The build-up to this fight will attract plenty of interest, as will the fight itself.
It’s difficult to see a bigger fight for Paul in 2025 than taking on the winner of Fury vs. Till.
KSI
Jake Paul vs. KSI would be a huge event for crossover boxing. Both have been big rivals for several years, exchanging back-and-forths on social media. There is a connection between the two, with his brother Logan fighting KSI in 2019 with KSI winning by a split decision. Both men have also lost to Tommy Fury.
KSI usually fights at 185lbs catchweight with Paul primarily fighting at cruiserweight. It’s a fight that needs to happen for crossover boxing, and it would surely attract plenty of attention. The weight of the fight appears to be a sticking point, but if that can be overcome, this fight would be massive.
Jorge Masvidal
Jorge Masvidal (1-1, 0 KOs) is a former UFC fighter with notable wins over Donald Cerrone, Darren Till and Nate Diaz. He competed in a professional boxing bout in 2005, defeating Joseph Benjamin by majority decision. Recently he made his return to boxing, losing a competitive fight to Nate Diaz by majority decision. Masvidal will come to fight and wouldn’t shy away from fighting Paul should the chance arise.
Whatever lies ahead for Paul, the Netflix event will be remembered—whether in a positive or negative light. People tuned in, in their millions for the fight, and a contest against any of the three mentioned here will attract plenty of interest.
