Wilder-Ortiz II Fight Camp draws big rating on Sunday
On Sunday, the premiere episode of PBC Fight Camp: Deontay Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz was seen by 2,247,000 viewers on FOX, according to Nielsen Media Research. Those numbers make it the most-watched PBC Fight Camp to date.
The heavyweight edition of the show produced a record rating for the Fight Camp series, boasting a 31% improvement from the previous 4th episode of Spence vs. Porter PBC Fight Camp, which drew 1.71 million viewers six days before fight night back in September.
Build up to this fight is key for the upcoming bout scheduled to take place on pay-per-view on Saturday, November 23rd Saturday at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. FOX, as they have done for the prior pay-per-view with Errol Spence vs. Shawn Poter, has cross-promoted the fight over the other sports that they have broadcast rights to.

Most notably, the National Football League, which has on Sunday afternoons been the most-watched program in the United States since the invention of the television, aired the episode before or after the one regional game that FOX carried depending on your location. For many on the east coast as I am, for example, this aired alongside the CBS Game of the Week which had the New England Patriots handling the Cleveland Browns well before halftime or 5 p.m., which is when it aired locally here.
