Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua is on: Here is what we know so far
Since this article was published, Ring Magazine have reported that Fury vs Joshua will be for the WBA regular heavyweight title.
A heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (30-4, 27 KOs) is finally on.
The announcement was made Thursday via press release and on social media. Their bout will headline a Dec. 11 card at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Fight fans around the world will be able to catch the action live on Netflix exclusively. A press conference featuring both men will take place on Sept. 30.
“Fury vs. Joshua is a fight years in the making between two of boxing’s biggest stars,” said Gabe Spitzer, vice president of sports at Netflix. “It has the rivalry, the stakes and the scale to capture the attention of sports fans around the world.”

A clash between Fury and Joshua has been spoken about for years. In fact, this was the cover of publication Boxing News for June 2020. Now, with the involvement of Netflix, it seems like the two will finally square off. Details such as who will feature on the undercard and more are expected to be revealed in due course.
“I am inspiring a generation,” posted Joshua on X along with a fight poster.
He also posted the following earlier in the day:
“The quietest ones often pull the strings. Those who appear least involved may hold the greatest control. Let them shout first, the wisest wait until the final move. Yours truly, Anthony Joshua.”
Fury has yet to provide a statement on the announcement as this piece is published.
Eddie Hearn, promoter of Joshua, also appeared in a 20-minute video confirming the fight.
