O’Shaquie Foster vs. Raymond Ford press conference quotes and fight prediction
O’Shaquie Foster (24-3, 12 KOs) will soon put his WBC super featherweight world title on the line against Raymond Ford (18-1-1, 8 KOs).
Their bout headlines a Matchroom Boxing card at the Fertitta Center in Houston, TX. Fight fans around the world can catch the action live on DAZN.
Both men spoke at a press conference ahead of their May 30 contest. Below is some of what they had to say.

“Man, they know what they call me,” said Foster. “Ice water. I stay cool. I stay calm and I flow like water. He going to find out Saturday. All that talking, all that rah rah shit. It’s going to get shut down real quick. They [referring to Ford’s team] so nervous they can’t be quiet for a second. They so nervous, but hey, Saturday night they all going to be crying. They all going to be hurt. You know what I mean. It’s going to be on to the next.”
“I’mma dominate from round one to whenever the fight ends. If he get to reckless like I told him, it’s going to be a bad night for him and [Ford and his team] going to be hurting. Y’all could do all that screaming, bro. It’s ok man…I’m happy, I’m ready, I’m excited for this opportunity. This one of the biggest buildups that I’ve had in my career and they don’t understand, man. I come from this. All that rah rah shit, all that do is make me raise my game. Y’all going to see the best out of me Saturday night. That’s all I can say.”

“I’m just ready, bro,” said Ford. “I ain’t really got too much to say. I’m ready.”

Fight prediction
From Big Fight Weekend’s Ricky Carroll: Foster vs. Ford is an intriguing matchup. Foster moves well and is difficult to pin down. He picks his punches impressively, but it’s his jab that sticks out most, helping him control the distance in his fights and dictate the tempo. His exciting wins against Eduardo Hernández and Abraham Nova prove how tough Foster is.
Ford is slick, with excellent footwork and hand speed. He is an excellent counterpuncher and will look to catch Foster when he comes in. Despite losing to Ball, he showcased impressive combination punching in that fight.
Ford will need to close the distance or draw Foster out before letting his hands go. The champion is disciplined when he fights, and we are backing Foster to do enough to win on points to retain his title.
