Tomoya Tsuboi (3-0-1, 2 KOs) and Pedro Guevara (43-5-3, 22 KOs) fought to a technical draw. The official time of stoppage for this 10-round super flyweight contest was 0:23 of round two. An accidental clash of heads left Guevara unable to continue. As a result of this, the Japan Boxing Commission ruled this fight a technical draw.
José Calderón (15-3, 6 KOs) won a majority decision against Katsuma Akitsugi (14-1, 4 KOs) in a 10-round bantamweight bout. Although one judge had it 95-95, the other two saw it 96-94 for Calderón.
Keita Kubotera (3-0, 3 KOs) won via fifth round technical knockout against Crisaldy Beltran (5-2, 4 KOs). The official time of stoppage for this six-round super featherweight clash was 0:59. Kubotera was knocked down in the third from a left hook to the head. In round five, Beltran was dropped by a one-two upstairs. Although he got up, referee Biney Martin put an end to proceedings. Beltran’s left eye was sporting a fair amount of damage, something that may have caused Martin to end the fight instead of letting it go on.
