American welterweight champion open to showdown with Conor Benn
On Saturday, November 15, Conor Benn (24-1, 14 KOs) got his much-desired revenge, comfortably beating Chris Eubank Jr (35-4, 25 KOs) by unanimous decision at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Following this historic win for the Benn family, Team Benn made it clear once again their intention to move back down to welterweight and challenge for a 147-pound world title. One potential opponent for Benn is the WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr, who revealed his desire to face Benn in an exclusive interview with Regan Slaymaker for Boxing Social.

Despite Chris Eubank Jr looking like a shadow of his former self, Conor Benn showed a huge improvement and produced a career-best performance, staying behind his jab and using his feet to control the distance. Benn also dropped Eubank twice in round 12 to seal a dominant unanimous decision victory. The scorecards read 119-107, 116-110, and 118-108, all in favour of Conor “The Destroyer” Benn.
Talking to Boxing Social ahead of his showdown with Devin Haney, Norman (28-0, 22 KOs) welcomed a future showdown with Benn: “Most definitely, I’ve been saying it for a while now. I believe right after I won the belt, to begin with, that’s the first thing I said on the interview. I want Conor Benn over there in the UK, I said that back then. And nothing changing now,” said Norman Jr.
