Jaron Ennis vs Vergil Ortiz Jr: Eddie Hearn Gives Latest Update

On April 12, Jaron Ennis (34-0, 30 KOs) had his final fight at welterweight, defeating Eimantas Stanionis to unify the division and claim the IBF, WBA and Ring Magazine titles. It was recently announced that he will now move up to 154 lbs in pursuit of the biggest fight available. He has long been linked to a potential showdown with Vergil Ortiz Jr (23-0, 21 KOs), though speculation has swirled for months why the matchup has yet to materialise. Ennis’ promoter Eddie Hearn recently spoke with Fight Hub TV to provide an update on the potential Ennis vs Ortiz clash at super welterweight.
