Matchroom Hit as MVP Sign Unbeaten Contender
Matchroom Boxing have long been at the forefront of boxing, signing some of the best up-and-coming talents and established stars. However, the promotional giant has been dealt a fresh blow, with the news that Yankiel Rivera has joined Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian at Most Valuable Promotions.

Yankiel Rivera Excited for MVP Journey
Rivera (7-0, 3 KOs) is considered a strong addition to the MVP stable. He is currently ranked #1 by the WBA, #5 by the WBC, and #7 by the WBO in the flyweight division. It is thought the Puerto Rican will make his MVP debut in the summer of 2025.
He enjoyed an impressive amateur career, winning five national championships and bronze medals at the 2018 Central American Games and 2019 Pan American Games. Since turning professional, the Puerto Rican fighter has impressed, with notable wins against Andy Dominguez Velasquez, Victor Efrain Sandoval and last time out against Angel Gonzalez.

Now it’s the start of a new chapter for Rivera, and one he’s clearly excited about: “I believe everything happens for a reason. Amanda Serrano, an important figure at Most Valuable Promotions expressed her excitement at welcoming Rivera to the MVP team: “Yankiel’s signing is a natural extension of our mission at MVP to identify and elevate the next generation of Puerto Rican boxing talent,” said Amanda Serrano.
