Terri Harper vs. Natalie Zimmermann: Press Conference Quotes and Fight Prediction

Terri Harper (15-2-2, 6 KOs) will soon defend her world title against Natalie Zimmermann (13-0, 3 KOs).

Their bout headlines a GBM Sports card at the Eco-Power Stadium in Doncaster, England. Boxing fans around the world can catch the action live on DAZN. Harper will be defending her WBO lightweight world title for the first time. She won the belt in September last year against Rhiannon Dixon.

A couple months prior to their May 23 clash, both women spoke at a press conference. Below is some of what they had to say.

Terri Harper vs. Natalie Zimmermann Press Conference Quotes

Terri Harper

“I think for me this is going to be the best fight of my career, just for the whole experience,” said Harper. “I’ve been in boxing for a long time now…It just seems like I’ve blinked my eyes and here we are. But again, as I was saying, it’s the people of Doncaster that have been with me from the start of my career. Through the highs and the lows and it’s going to be a very special night being able to put on my first defence of the world title and do it in front of the home crowd. So, I’m very excited for that and grateful to everyone…”

Natalie Zimmermann

[On] the first day of my boxing career, my wish was a main event live on DAZN,” said Zimmermann. “At the beginning of your [promoter Issrar Asif] speech you told us dreams come true and that is what I can say. Dreams do come true. I’mreally enjoyed [sic] to be here. It’s a great honour for me.”

Fight Prediction

Harper has fought at a much higher level than her opponent. While Zimmermann may be undefeated, she is a significant underdog going into the Friday night clash. None of the German boxer’s opponents had winning records when they fought her. This should be a dominant performance from the reigning champion. Expect Harper to win via late knockout.
