Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury 2: Full Undercard Including Late Fight Added to Lineup

It’s almost time for Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) and Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) to meet in their highly-anticipated rematch at the Kingdom Arena, Riyadh for Usyk’s WBA, WBC and WBO heavyweight titles. The bout will take place on December 21. The undercard has received a couple of setbacks with Israil Madrimov withdrawing due to injury and the shocking news of Dennis McCann returning a pre-fight anti-doping test with adverse findings ahead of his fight with Peter McGrail. It was thought McGrail would now miss out on the card, but it has now been revealed he will stay on the Dec. 21 card and will face the unbeaten Welsh fighter, Rhys Edwards. Below you will find the full undercard.

Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury 2 Undercard: Late Fight Added to Lineup

Serhii Bohachuk vs. Ishmael Davis

Serhii Bohachuk (24-2, 23 KOs) will return to action and face late replacement Ishmael Davis (13-1, 6 KOs). The Ukrainian was due to face Israil Madrimov, who withdrew due to illness and will instead face Davis. Bohacuk is as tough as they come, and he pushed Vergil Ortiz Jr. in their fight. Davis will be up against it vs. the heavy-handed Ukrainian, but we should see plenty of fireworks.

Moses Itauma vs. Demsey McKean

Undefeated 19-year-old top prospect Moses Itauma (10-0, 8 KOs) will return to action and take on the Australian fighter Demsey McKean (22-1, 14 KOs). Itauma is adept at making statements, and made one in his last fight, blowing away Mariusz Wach in two rounds. This is a huge opportunity for the talented 19-year-old to announce himself to the whole world, but Mckean will be eager to derail the Itauma express train.

Johnny Fisher vs. Dave Allen

Johnny Fisher (12-0, 11 KOs) will take on the experienced Dave Allen (23-6-2, 18 KOs). Fisher destroyed Alen Babic in his last fight, while Allen has won two low-key fights against Jake Darnell and Amine Boucetta since losing to Frazer Clarke. “The Romford Bull” will seemingly start fast as he has done previously – and if Allen can use his experience to survive that opening attack, he could drag his opponent into uncharted waters.

Peter McGrail vs. Rhys Edwards

The cancellation of Peter McGrail (10-1, 6 KOs) vs. Dennis McCann disappointed many, who viewed it as the potential fight of the night. News has now broken that Rhys Edwards (16-0, 4 KOs) will now face McGrail. Despite the disappointment surrounding McCann, this is a great replacement at such late notice. Edwards produced a career-best performance in his last fight, defeating Thomas Patrick Ward via unanimous decision.

Isaac Lowe vs. Lee McGregor

Issac Lowe v will return to action against the talented Lee McGregor (14-1-1, 11 KOs). Lowe will make his second appearance on a Riyadh Season card after defeating Hasibullah Ahmadi 97-92 on the undercard of the first Fury-Usyk fight. McGregor has returned to form, winning his last two fights by stoppage since his sole career loss against Erik Robles Ayala.

Daniel Lapin vs. Dylan Colin

In light heavyweight action, we will see Daniel Lapin (10-0, 4 KOs) take on fellow undefeated fighter Dylan Colin (14-0, 4 KOs). This is a great opportunity for both fighters to remain on the Riyadh Season cards and move on to bigger fights in a stacked division.

Andrii Novytskyi vs. Edgar Ramirez

Heavyweight action will take its place in the main event, but it is also visible throughout the undercard, with Andrii Novytskyi (13-0, 10 KOs) facing Edgar Ramirez (10-1-1, 4 KOs).

Mohammed Alakel vs. Joshua Ocampo

Saudi prospect Mohammed Alakel (1-0, 0 KOs) will face the experienced journeyman Joshua Ocampo (8-33-5, 6 KOs) in the opening bout on the card.

Despite the changes and controversy on the undercard, there is still plenty of intrigue that promises to keep us all entertained until Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk face each other once again.
