Alexis Rocha vs. Raúl Curiel Press Conference Quotes

Alexis Rocha

“First off, I want to thank God,” said Rocha“I want to thank all of Golden Boy Promotions. Want to thank my team to the right-hand side of me. Appreciate you guys for everything you guys have ever done. Yeah, I got a good opponent coming in front of me, undefeated. He has a winning streak, but every streak, unfortunately comes to an end. I’ve trained very hard for this fight. I’ve cut no corners. I’m mentally, physically, in the best shape possible…This is my moment, and I’m gonna go and take it. This is gonna be a war, December 14, and I’m ready to make a statement.”

Raúl Curiel

“I’ve trained very hard for this fight,” said Curiel. “I know this fight can open [for] me all the doors for the world title shot and that’s my dream. I’m ready. I’m ready and this fight is for México, it is for all my people who have my back and supported me. I know I’m going win. This camp, it was a tremendous camp. [I am] in [one of] the best shapes of my career. On God, I’m going to try to do my best to get this win and go for the world title.”

Fight Prediction

This is a big opportunity for Curiel and expect him to make the most of it. The former Mexican Olympian has much more success knocking opponents out and the styles of both boxers should ensure that this fight does not go the distance. While Rocha will put in a determined effort, it will not be enough to win. Curiel via knockout by round 10.
