Key Details on Vergil Ortiz Jr. vs. Jaron Ennis Revealed
Ennis was last seen, defeating Karen Chukhadzhian by unanimous decision, dropping the Ukrainian in round five, with the judges scorecards reading 119-107, 117-109 and 116-110. “Boots” is undoubtedly one of the most talented fighters in modern-day boxing, and it will be fascinating to see how he deals with a step up in class against Ortiz.

Ortiz Jr., the current WBC interim super welterweight title holder, won it from Serhii Bohachuk by a majority in a wildly entertaining clash earlier this year.
The contest between these two hugely talented fighters will seemingly take place at super welterweight (154lbs) on the February 22 Riyadh Season card.
Plans Change
Turki Alalshikh had spoken earlier this year regarding a different fight he wanted to make for Ortiz: “Tomorrow or after the fight, we have big meeting to support and see the next step with the Golden Boy.” He continued: “Ortiz, if he does the job today, we want to see him against Crawford.” His Excellency tantalisingly added: “I will give Crawford big offer to do this.”

It seemingly looks as though Crawford only wants Canelo, which has opened the door for the Philadelphia native to move to 154lbs and challenge Ortiz. “Boots” has struggled to make unification fights at welterweight so a move up to 154 for a big fight like this is unsurprising.
