Shadasia Green, Bruce Carrington Win on Paul-Tyson Prelims
Shadasia Green (15-1, 11 KOs) came out on top in the end following a competitive affair with Melinda Watpool (7-1, 2 KOs).
While one judge saw the contest 96-94 in favour of Watpool, the remaining two judges had it 97-93 and 96-94 for Green. With the victory, Green becomes the new WBO super middleweight champion. The title had previously been held by Savannah Marshall, who later vacated it.
Green-Watpool took place on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. Boxing fans around the world could catch the action live on Netflix. However, the preliminary undercard portion of the event, including Green vs. Watpool, was available on the Netflix Sports and Most Valuable Promotions YouTube channels.

Shadasia Green Crowned Champion in Close Affair With Melinda Watpool
Fight Recap
The opening round saw a few punches being thrown by both fighters. In the second, they started to open up with Green in particular having success with her right hand. Watpool was the one coming forward for the most part, something she stuck to doing for the next few rounds.

Going into the middle rounds, both fighters increased their punch output even more, though holding did become a bit more frequent. Green had a strong sixth, hurting Watpool and sending her on the retreat. The Canadian came back in round seven, however, landing hard punches despite being on the back foot.
In the eighth, Green stuck to moving around the ring and keeping her opponent at bay with the jab. However, she abandoned this approach in the following round, instead choosing to press forward. Green had limited success doing that as Watpool could connect with her punches whenever the American came close.
Green went back to moving on the outside in round 10 but was throwing very little. Watpool had some struggles landing against her constantly moving opponent, but did what she could to connect. The fight itself was a close affair. In the end, two of the judges saw Green doing the better work over 10, making her the new super middleweight champion in the end.
Other Undercard Results
Lucas Bahdi (18-0, 15 KOs) won a majority decision against Armando Casamonica (14-1, 3 KOs) in a 10-round lightweight contest. While one judge had it 95-95, the other two saw it 98-92 and 96-93 for Bahdi.
Opening the broadcast, Bruce Carrington (14-0, 8 KOs) won a unanimous decision against Dana Coolwell (13-3, 8 KOs). Scores for the eight-round featherweight bout were 80-70 across the board. Coolwell went down from a left hook in round four. He went down again following a barrage of punches from Carrington in round eight.
