Denzel Bentley vs. Derrick Osaze: Press Conference Quotes and Fight Prediction

Denzel Bentley (19-3-1, 16 KOs) and Derrick Osaze (13-1, 3 KOs) soon clash in an all-British middleweight showdown.

A fight headlines a Queensberry Promotions card at York Hall in London, England. Fight fans in the United Kingdom can catch the action live on TNT Sports. There is currently no broadcaster set for the United States and other territories.

Ahead of their clash on August 17, both men spoke at a press conference. Below is some of what they had to say.

Denzel Bentley vs. Derrick Osaze Press Conference Quotes

Denzel Bentley

“Yeah, I feel good, man,” said Bentley. “I feel good. Like Derrick said, thank God that we’re both healthy and we can make it to Saturday and hopefully put on a show for the people that are, you know, going to tune it. He’s a good fighter, he’s a good fighter. Like I said he won Boxxer. You don’t win those tournaments there if you can’t fight. So, I’m prepared and I’m ready to go on Saturday.”

Derrick Osaze

“In terms of the fight, it’s just another fight, innit?” said Osaze. “It’s 10 rounds. There’s two people with two hands, twolegs, and we’re going to throw punches. We’re going to hit and not be hit and that’s what’s going to happen.”

“Yeah, I’m scared. To be honest, like, Denzel’s done well, do you know what I mean? I haven’t got anything bad to say about what he’s achieved in his career. Massive respect to him. By the end of the day, that’s not going to matter when I get in the ring, do you know what I mean? It’s going to be me and Denzel. The bell’s going to go and there’s going to be a winner. So fair enough. Experience, fights, and like, that’s all good, but when the bell goes, we’ll find out.”

Fight Prediction

In addition to having greater experience at a higher level, Bentley has a higher knockout percentage than his opponent. Osaze had limited experience going the 10-round distance, something that should impact the fight. Expect Bentley to get a late win via technical knockout as he works his way back into middleweight world title contention.
