The two headline a Golden Boy Promotions card – done in association with TGB Promotions and 360 Promotions – at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Fight fans around the world can catch the action live on DAZN. An interim WBC belt held by Bohachuk will be on the line when he faces Ortiz. The winner can soon expect to fight for a world title.

“First and foremost, I want to thank everyone on my team, my dad, Robert, Hector Beltran, Charles Trembley, Pita, everyone at the gym supporting me, everyone back home in Grand Prairie, Texas,” said Ortiz. “Everyone in Texas. It really means a lot. This goes way back to when I was five years old. My dad took me to the gym and I didn’t like it at first. The second day is when I liked it, when I saw the sparring and stuff. I just felt like that’s what I was made for, just to put it on people but still be nice to people afterwards and all that stuff. Anyways, we put in all this hard work. It all goes back from that day after kindergarten till now and this Saturday, I will be world champion.”

“I’m very happy [to] be here,” said Bohachuk. “Big thank you for my promoter Tom Loeffler [of] 360 Promotions. Thank you for Golden Boy, Oscar De La Hoya. Big fight coming up. I’m ready for this fight. I hope Vergil ready too. This Saturday will be hard, come and see.”
Fight Prediction
Both fighters are known for their ability to get knockouts. If this bout were to go the distance, it would be a huge shock. Bohachuk and Ortiz will be exchanging leather from the opening bell. Between the two, Ortiz seems like the one with greater potential. Expect him to get a stoppage win in the middle rounds.
