Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) and Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) are more than ready to make history.

The two meet on a card billed as “Ring of Fire”, an event that sees Fury and Usyk fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship. Boxing fans can catch the action live as a PPV on DAZN and ESPN+ in the United States. Those in the United Kingdom can also do so with TNT Sports, Sky Sports and DAZN. The bout will crown the division’s first undisputed champion since Lennox Lewis.

“Ring of Fire” happens at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It is part of Riyadh Season, a state-funded entertainment and sports festival. The Kingdom’s General Entertainment Authority is responsible for its organization.

Both fighters were present at a final press conference on Thursday at BLVD City. Below is what they had to say about their upcoming clash.

Tyson Fury

“I’m going to make this short and simple,” said Fury. “I want to thank God for the victory that I’ve received already. And I want to thank everybody involved for putting this massive event on. I want to thank Usyk for turning up and challenging me. And that’s about it. Thank you to all the fans that travelled over to support me because I know it’s tough times at the moment and money is hard. So, I aim to put on a show. Thank you very much. God bless.”

“I’m ready. I’ve got nothing to say apart from I’m ready for a good fight. And if it’s tough or easy, either way, I’ll be ready.”

Oleksandr Usyk

“I’m happy to be here,” said Usyk. “I’m excited, I’m grateful for His Excellency [Turki Alalshikh], who [made] this fight happened. Let’s make history! Enough!”

Fight Prediction

What makes Fury a difficult opponent to face is the size. He is always the taller and heavier boxer when he fights and he takes full advantage of that. In his last few fights, we have seen him use his size in an attempt to wear out his opponents. On the other hand, Usyk is one of the most technically sound fighters around. If there is anyone who can get around Fury’s size, it could very well be Usyk. We see the Ukrainian winning a close unanimous decision where he can dart in-and-out to outland Fury.
