Rolly Romero-Ismael Barroso Controversial Stoppage Debated More

It was a jammed packed weekend of action in the ring and not without controversy, including the Rolly-Romero-Ismael Barroso title fight in Vegas. And we’re ready to go over it all, plus, hear from WBC junior welterweight champ Regis Prograis coming up on the newest “Fight Freaks Unite Recap Podcast!”

Host T.J. Rives is back with insider Dan Rafael of BigFightWeekend.com to talk first about the shocking stoppage of the Romero-Barroso WBA 140 lb. title fight in Las Vegas. Referee Tony Weeks is under scrutiny by everyone and Dan gives great insight on the situation and his dealings with Weeks in the past, etc.

There’s a full recap of all the action on the Showtime/PBC undercard and then, the attention turns to the Top Rank/ESPN card in California. WBO middleweight champ Janibek Alimkhanuly got his big KO in the main event. What’s next for him and what about Jason Moloney of Australia finally getting a bantamweight world title win in the co-feature fight. This as he won a 12 round decision over Filipino fighter Vincent Astrolabio. Did the guys agree with the result?

Then Dan talks with Prograis about signing with Matchroom Boxing and what it means for potential big time/lucrative 140 lb. bouts for him. Hear the analysis of the fight cards and the Regis interview by clicking below,

There’s some fight news off the weekend, including former unified lightweight champ George Kambosos returning to action this July and Dan has insight on where the Australian will be fighting?

Then, finally, some good nostalgia on hall of famer Ronald “Winky” Wright defeating fellow hall of famer Felix “Tito” Trinidad in a dominant decision that Dan was ringside for in May 2005. It was a signature win for the guy out of T.J.’s area in St. Pete, FL. They take a “deep dive” into it all that went on that night, as “the Wink” got arguably the signature win of his career.

It’s all part of the “Fight Freaks Unite Recap Podcast” and make sure you are following/subscribing to the Big Fight Weekend Podcast feed off Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google, etc.!!
