Joshua and Fury are on the verge of announcing their blockbuster bout, which will see them put all their world titles on the line to crown an undisputed heavyweight champion, with reports claiming that they could be set to meet in July.

With the undisputed fight looking like taking place in July, Fury can also count on having the superior record from Julys gone by – 10% of his career wins have taken place in the seventh month of the year (three wins out of three) to Joshua’s 4% (one win from one).
When it comes to landing more stoppages in the summer, Fury can also claim to have a better record than his rival with a 71% stoppage rate against opponents (five out of seven) compared to Joshua’s 67% (two out of three).
While Fury has the edge over AJ during the summer, he is ultimately best suited to fighting in the winter with 30% of his career wins coming then, while Joshua is more at home in the autumn where he has secured 38% of his victories.
In terms of the two fighters’ peak months, Fury’s have proved to be February and September, where he has claimed a joint-high of 17% of his victories in both months, while Joshua has proved most at home in October and December, where he has also claimed a joint-high 17% of wins in both months.
A William Hill spokesperson said: “Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury’s undisputed world heavyweight title clash is set to be one of the biggest sporting events in recent memory, and it’s looking like boxing fans will finally be treated to the fight this summer.
“That made us wonder which boxer is best suited to fighting during the summer months ahead of this epic showdown – and it looks as if Tyson Fury is going to feel more at home in the sun when they do square up.
“All signs suggest Fury has the edge in this department, having claimed 23% of his career wins in the summer to Joshua’s 8%, while he also boasts the superior stoppage record in this time too. Yet however things do pan out, one thing’s for sure, it’s going to be one hell of a fight.”
