Keyshawn Davis vs. Nahir Albright 2 fight recap

It was not the prettiest of fights, but Keyshawn Davis (15-0, 10 KOs, 1 NC) defeated Nahir Albright (17-3-1, 7 KOs, 1 NC) by unanimous decision.

Scores were 118-108 (x2) and 117-109. Davis remains unbeaten in the professional ranks with the win. This was his second victory of the year, having beaten Jamaine Ortiz in January.

Albright stuggled to close the distance between himself and his opponent. Early on, Davis showed that he was quicker and in total control of the range the fight was fought at. Albright was met with a clinch anytime he tried to close the distance.

There was plenty of holding for the duration of the contest. The referee frequently stepped in to separate the two. A right hand upstairs appeared to briefly rock Davis in round five, but he clinched and recovered quickly. Not much was landed in the first half of the bout, but the former lightweight world champion was clearly landing more than his opponent.

Davis was deducted two points in round seven for (literally) picking up Albright and throwing him down onto the canvas. Despite the deduction, Davis was clearly the better of the two. Albright appeared to have no idea whatsoever on how to win this fight.

Davis turned things up in rounds 11 and 12, trying to get the stoppage. Albright was rocked multiple times, but remained on his feet until the final bell. It came as no surprise when Davis ultimately got his hand raised.

Undercard on DAZN results

Brian Norman Jr. (29-1, 23 KOs, 2 NCs) won via second round technical knockout against Josh Wagner (19-3, 10 KOs). The official time of stoppage for this 10-round welterweight clash was 1:24. Wagner was dropped in the second from a barrage of punches. Although he got up, he was soon knocked down once more from another barrage of punches. Referee Eric Irizarry then called time after Wagner got up and had a ringside physician examine the Canadian. The fight was then waved off, giving Norman the technical knockout win.

Kelvin Davis (16-1, 8 KOs) won a split decision against Peter Dobson (17-4, 10 KOs) in a 10-round welterweight fight. Although one judge had it 98-92 for Dobson, the other two saw it 99-91 and 97-93 for Davis.

Opening the broadcast on DAZN, Yan Santana (17-0, 13 KOs) won a unanimous decision against Cristian Cruz (24-8-2, 12 KOs). Scores for their 10-round featherweight contest were 98-92, 97-93, and 96-94.
