Dillian Whyte vs. Ebenezer Tetteh: What’s Next for ‘The Body Snatcher’?

Dillian Whyte (31-3, 21 KOs) returned to the ring on Sunday, December 15 against Ebenezer Tetteh (23-2, 20 KOs) in a 10-round heavyweight bout at the Europa Point Sports Complex in Gibraltar. The entire card was shown live on DAZN. Following the fight, attention quickly turned to what could be next for “The Body Snatcher.” Whyte made it clear following the fight what he wants next.

Dillian Whyte Dominates Against Ebenezer Tetteh

Whyte vs. Tetteh Fight Recap

The opening round saw Whyte begin strongly, working well behind his double jab. Tetteh began to fire back towards the end of the round – but missed wildly with much of his work. The second round saw “The Body Snatcher” mix his shots well, but Tetteh kept firing back. Despite Whyte being in control, he needs to be careful. He is picking his punches well and doing most of the work, but he needs to be wary of his opponent’s right hand.

Tetteh kept walking forward and firing back, which kept the fight reasonably competitive in the early rounds. When “The Body Snatcher” moves and double jabs, he’s dominating but not doing it enough.

Whyte looked like he might stop the Ghanaian fighter in round six, with Tetteh obviously fatigued, but he bit down on his gumshield and made it to the bell. Whyte is boxing well in spells, picking his shots well, but Tetteh is too easy to hit. A fatigued Tetteh stumbled back to his corner at the end of round seven with the referee waving the fight off. Despite the win, I still feel there are plenty of questions for Whyte to answer.

Reflection and Looking to the Future

Following the fight, “The Body Snatcher” was grateful for the rounds and was happy: “I promised Buddy I would use my jab, so he’s happy.”

He spoke about getting rounds tonight: “He gave me the rounds I needed.”

Whyte added: “I am willing to fight anyone.”

In a recent interview with DAZN News he made it clear he’s aiming for the very top in the heavyweight division: “AJ, [Joseph] Parker, and Tyson Fury,” said the Brixton fighter, naming his 2025 dream hitlist.
