Meiirim Nursultanov
Meiirim Nursultanov (20-0, 11 KOs) is a Kazakh middleweight only a couple of fights away from getting a title shot. Currently, in the top 10 of three major boxing sanctioning bodies, it will not be long before one of those entities makes him mandatory.
In 2023, Nursultanov fought twice. He began the year with an eighth-round stoppage against Kazuto Takesako in Incheon, South Korea. The Kazakh also won a unanimous decision in November over Julio Alamos in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Elijah García
A 20-year-old who made his mark in the division in 2023, Elijah García (16-0, 13 KOs) can expect more attention his way if he continues to perform the way he has been. Within a year, García went from prospect to contender with eye-catching performances.
This year should see the American continue to climb the rankings. It would be no surprise if he wound up with a title shot in 2025 on the back of a successful 2024.
Austin “Ammo” Williams
Despite a relatively late start to boxing (he began at 19), Austin Williams (15-0, 10 KOs) has still impressed. “Ammo” currently holds top 10 rankings with three major boxing-sanctioning bodies. This year should see him work closer towards a world title shot.
Williams has also shown a willingness to travel for fights. He has so far fought once in Mexico, three times in the United Kingdom and has had fights in six different American states. This kind of commitment to fighting can lead him to world honours should the wins keep coming.
Darrelle Valsaint
Darrelle Valsaint (10-0, 8 KOs) qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 for Haiti. Due to the event being postponed by a year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, he had two professional bouts before the Olympics. Following the Games, he has focused solely on his professional career.
Valsaint has stayed active these past two years with a combined eight fights. In 2024, fight fans can expect him to remain active and get himself ranked with a sanctioning body.
Aaron McKenna
Aaron McKenna (17-0, 8 KOs) spent the first couple of years – of his career fighting in the United States. He won all 10 of his bouts during that time. Since then, “Silencer” has been fighting throughout the United Kingdom and has won an additional seven fights.
In 2024, fans can expect him to remain active and work his way into the top 15. He has plenty of time at 24 years old, to establish himself at middleweight.
