Caroline Dubois vs. Terri Harper press conference quotes and fight prediction
Caroline Dubois (12-0-1, 5 KOs) and Terri Harper (16-2-2, 6 KOs) will soon put their respective world titles on the line against each other.
Their bout headlines a Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) card at the Olympia in London, England. Fight fans in the United Kingdom and Ireland will be able to catch the action live on Sky Sports. Those in the United States can do so with ESPN+. Dubois’s WBC and Harper’s WBO lightweight world titles will be on the line.
Both women spoke at a press conference ahead of their April 5 clash. Below is some of what they had to say.
Caroline Dubois vs. Terri Harper press conference quotes
Caroline Dubois
“I’ve won every battle from the moment this fight was signed,” said Dubois. “I’ve won every battle, and I will continue to win every battle. Come fight night, I will win the battle. This is a war, this is everything.”
“Talk is cheap. We can all push and shove, and that’s all great, but what’s important is stepping into the ring on Sunday and kicking ass. That’s what I fully intend on doing.”
Terri Harper
“I trust fully in the timing of my life and the time of my career that this is my moment,” said Harper. “All those years, ever since I’ve stepped through the gym doors as a young amateur, have led to this moment.”
“Caroline just said herself, talk is cheap, and that’s all she’s done the last 12 weeks, so. For me, I’ve been fully focused on the job that I got to do Sunday night. As you can see, I’ve been quiet on my socials for this training camp because I’ve been fully focused on the job I’ve got to do, whereas Caroline’s been arguing online, getting sucked into everything.”
Fight prediction
From Big Fight Weekend’s Ricky Carroll: Harper vs. Dubois is a great matchup for British female boxing, with both fighters not afraid to stand and trade. Harper has the edge on experience, but Dubois has plenty of skill, and it feels like there’s more to come. We are backing Dubois to win by unanimous decision.
