Navarrete willing to fight Inoue, Nery at 122
Emanuel Navarrete is getting set for his fourth title defense this year against Francisco Horta in Publea, Mexico on December 7th and has looking forward to take on anyone next if he successful against Horta.
Navarrete speaking with ESPN Deportes , will be looking to challenge all of the big names at 118 if they are willing to come up.
“If that fight makes sense, I would be delighted,” Navarrete said to ESPN Deportes.

“I think the ‘Monster’ Inoue is a fighter that everyone wants to face and I join the list. I would be delighted to face a fighter like him and welcome him to 122. And Nery is also my friend, he has my number, and when he likes me to call me and we fight, ”said Navarrete, that if something sweats in each Training is trust..
Nery is a name that I would like to keep an eye out for in the near future as he was recently stripped of his number one contenders spot by the World Boxing Council and they advised him to move up to Navarrete’s weight class of 122.
The reign of Navarrete at 122 will all depend if he can unify any of the belts in the division and then move up from there.
“The plan is to make two or three big fights, I want to continue as a great champion, unify, there are many fighters, and hopefully we can, but if not, we’ll go to 126 pounds,” Navarrete stated.
One of the most active fighters in 2019, Navarrete is looking forward to ending the year fighting in Mexico.
“After a series of fights in the United States comes the fight in Mexico, I am grateful to Zanfer for making this possible, for giving me that possibility. 2019 has been a great year, we jumped ahead and we’ll continue to do so in the same direction, preparing one hundred percent to get better things,” Navarrete stated.
While I don’t think Inoue will move up to face Navarrete, the prospects of Nery being an option is one that you should keep an eye out on in 2020.
