Liam Walsh Training Camp Notes

Liam Walsh has been pushing himself to the limit during his training camp in Tenerife as he gets set to return to the ring during #MTKFightNight’s event at the Brentwood Centre live on iFL TV on Saturday.

The former British and Commonwealth champion Walsh (21-1, 14 KOs) is back in action after two years out and is ready to show everybody just how much hard work he has been putting in during his time away from the ring. The last time he was in the ring he was stopped by current World Boxing Association titlist Gervonta Davis.

Walsh said in the press release: “I’ve been out in Tenerife training with my brother Ryan and it has been brilliant. The numbers I’ve been posted are all up there with where they were two years ago for the Gervonta Davis fight, so I’m really excited to be back.

“It might only be an eight-rounder but I’ve been training as if it’s a title fight. That’s the way me and Ryan have always done it, even when it was the four-round days we have always been training like maniacs. It always worked before and we’ll stick to it.

“This is my first fight with MTK Global and I’m thankful to them for making an effort with me and Ryan and making us feel welcome. I’m going to pay them back with some big fights.

“They’ve treated us brilliant so far and I’m sure it will continue. Hopefully, we’ll have some good years together, and I have no doubt that MTK Global will continue to take over in the future.”

Walsh is part of an action-packed #MTKFightNight event at the Brentwood Centre on Saturday, and also appearing on the card are  Danny Dignum, Shaquille Day, Liam Conroy, DP Carr, Gino Kanters, Harlem Eubank and more to be announced later.
