Josh Taylor- ‘I do my talking in the ring’

IBF Junior Weltweweightchamp Josh Taylor is very confident that in the World Boxing Super Series final, he will be victorious over WBA titlist Regis Prograis.

Taylor, in an interview with Sky Sports, explained that while both have exchanged bitter words leading up to the enormous unification bout on October 26, Taylor insists that this will show who will be the best in the 140-pound division.

“This fight proves who the true number one is,” Taylor to Sky Sports. “I believe it is myself, he believes it is him. I do believe we are the two best in the division. He likes to blow smoke up his own behind, and believe his own hype. I let him do his talking,”

Both Taylor and Prograis have been saying leading up to this fight that they are the best and will show it in the much anticipated final for the Muhammad Ali Trophy. While Prograis doesn’t see how Taylor could win this contest, ‘The Tartan Tornado’ will wait for the opening bell to answer all doubters.

“I do my talking in the ring, so we’ll see on the night,” Taylor said. “I am too big for him, too tall for him, too quick for him. Size will be a telling factor in this fight.”

“We go back and forth. I feel the same way, you’ll see on the night who is the best at 140lbs,” Prograis said.

“I’m super-confident, there’s no way he can beat me, it’s not being cocky or arrogant, it’s just how I feel. All his 15 fights look the same. All mine look different. My style will prove to be the better one, I can do so many different things, and he does get hit a lot.”

One thing that for sure that this colossal matchup, which can be seen on DAZN in the United States and Sky Sports in the UK, is one that everyone in boxing will be paying attention too.
