Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua – Joshua Buatsi makes his prediction
On December 19, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul headlines a Most Valuable Promotions fight card. The main card will be available to stream on Netflix for all subscribers.
Many have shared their opinions on this controversial matchup. Joshua Buatsi recently spoke to Froch on Fighting, revealing his pick for this heavyweight showdown.
Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua – rules for December 19
Joshua vs Paul has divided opinion across the sporting world, with many calling the bout a mismatch. It’s a huge step up for Paul, who is effectively still a novice cruiserweight, despite what some may say. A win over Joshua would catapult the former Disney star into a new stratosphere.
The main question regarding Joshua is whether the former heavyweight champion still has the desire. If he retains some of his old abilities, he should take out Paul with relative ease.
The rules for this heavyweight bout are as follows:
- The fight is scheduled for eight 3-minute rounds.
- It is a sanctioned professional bout.
- Paul and Joshua will wear 10-ounce gloves.
- The only stipulation is that Joshua cannot weigh more than 245 pounds.
Joshua Buatsi breaks down Paul vs Joshua
Speaking to Froch on fighting, Buatsi broke down Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua, revealing his prediction:
“Someone said this to me today as well. They said Josh, when you see a good fighter fighting a mediocre fighter, and it’s just one-sided because he’s clearly the better man. And then you look at Paul, I don’t know what his background is, and you look at AJ, two-time world heavyweight champion.
“So, it looks a mismatch on paper. Boxing has taught me that two hands, two legs, if you get caught at the right time, you’re gone. But I would put all my eggs in one basket and say that AJ knocks him out early,” said Buatsi.
