What to Expect from Wilder’s Comeback

It’s a mystery how much Deontay Wilder (43-4-1, 42 KOs) has left. He endured a brutal trilogy with Tyson Fury, drawing once and losing twice. In between the first and second Fury bout – he beat Luis Ortiz and Dominic Breazeale. This was followed by back-to-back losses against “The Gypsy King” where Wilder received a lot of punishment.

He spent 12 months out of the ring before a brutal first-round KO victory over Robert Helenius. More recently, “The Bronze Bomber” returned on two Riyadh Season cards, losing to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang. It wasn’t the defeats that were concerning; it was the nature of those losses, with Wilder looking unable to throw his once-feared right hand. Following the Zhang loss, it appeared that was all she wrote for the Tuscaloosa native.

The boxing world has plenty of questions—does Deontay Wilder have the answers?
