Conor Benn (22-0, 14 KOs) and Peter Dobson (16-0, 9 KOs) have yet to meet in the ring, but that has not stopped them from going at each other verbally.

The two meet at the Chelsea Ballroom in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in NV, USA. DAZN will broadcast the event around the world. Benn-Dobson will be a 12-round fight. Ahead of their clash on Feb. 3, the two meet at a press conference.

It did not take long before the two were going after each other at the press conference. Below is just one exchange between the undefeated fighters.

You’re dumb,” said Dobson to his opponent. “You think you’re gonna come out and knock me out in the first round? You’re gonna get knocked out. That’s what green fighters do. You’re green.

Listen,” said Benn. “The loudest one is the weakest one in the room. Keep that energy. I don’t know who send you a message this morning to pipe up, but remember, you’re the one who’ll pay the price, not the one who sent you the message to pipe up like you did the other day. You’re the one paying the price.

Why is Benn-Dobson Taking Place in the USA?

In 2022, Benn was set to face Chris Eubank Jr. in a clash that would air on pay-per-view. However, it was eventually revealed he failed two Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) tests, and the fight never took place. Since then, he remains in a battle with the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) and United Kingdom Anti-Doping (UKAD).

Benn is unable to get a licence to fight in the U.K. as he was provisionally suspended by UKAD. The country’s National Anti-Doping Panel lifted the suspension, a decision that has been appealed by the BBBofC and UKAD. A hearing on the matter will take place later this month. Benn has been able to get a licence to fight in the USA. As a result, this fight and his last fight against Rodolfo Orozco took place stateside.
