All results from Caroline Dubois vs Terri Harper on April 5

Chloe Watson vs Teresa Makinen

Chloe Watson (9-3, 1 KO) vs Teresa Makinen (6-0, 0 KOs) was up next in the women’s bantamweight division.

It was a largely scrappy opening round, with Watson mainly on the front foot, with both having limited success. That pattern continued over the next two rounds. At the halfway point, it felt like a close fight with Makinen arguably landing the cleaner punches.

The cleaner punches continued to come from Makinen, while Watson never took a backward step. Neither had the power to trouble each other, but the more accurate work came from the Finnish fighter who deserved her 77-75 win.

Elizabeth Oshoba vs Chelsey Arnell

Next up in the women’s featherweight division was Elizabeth Oshoba (10-0, 6 KOs) vs Chelsey Arnell (5-3-1, 0 KOs).

In the opening round, Oshoba quickly utilised her 4-inch reach advantage, using her jab and whipping the right hand round, landing on Arnell more than once. During the third round, Oshoba landed a smart right hand, snapping Arnell’s head back, and followed up with another flurry of punches. The referee quickly stepped in to wave the fight off. The Nigerian looks like an interesting fighter with power in both hands. An impressive TKO win.

Arjon Basi vs Jake Price

Argon Basi (3-0, 1 KOs) vs Jake Price (3-11-1, 0 KOs) was up next in the super lightweight division.

It was a dominant opening three minutes from Basi, as he quickly found his range and began teeing off on Price, who did well to survive the first round.

Soon into the second round, the onslaught from Basi continued, and a knockdown quickly ensued with the referee waving the fight off. It was an impressive performance from Basi, who had plenty of support inside the Olympia.

Price remained on the canvas for several minutes before making his way to the stool for further treatment to the relief of all in attendance.

Gemma Richardson vs Johana Rajmont

Next up in the women’s welterweight division, it was Gemma Richardson (3-0, 1 KO) vs Johana Rajmont (6-8-1, 2 KOs).

It was a busy opening round for Richardson, who landed some eye-catching combinations. The punch accuracy and slick movement from the Brit helped her stay on top in the second.

Richardson continued to vary her punches for the remainder of the fight, outworking and outclassing Rajmont, who was brave but barely landed anything of significance. The Brit deserved her 60-54 victory.

Harvey Smith vs Juan Alberto Batista

The first fight on the Caroline Dubois vs Terri Harper prelims was Harvey Smith (7-1, 1 KO) vs

Juan Alberto Batista (1-25, 0 KOs) in the bantamweight division.

It was a sharp start from Smith, who looked light on his feet and picked his punches impressively. Smith remained in control during the second round, with very little coming back from Batista, who remained in survival mode.

Smith remained in the ascendancy until the final bell and fully deserved his 40-36 win.
