Rising Puerto Rican Amateur Champion to Make Highly Anticipated Pro Debut Live on DAZN

It has now been announced that highly regarded Puerto Rican national amateur champion Carlos De León Castro has now signed a promotional agreement with BoxLab Promotions, and is set to make his professional debut on June 8 live on DAZN.

The 19 year old featherweight prospect enjoyed an impressive amateur journey, winning a plethora of national and international titles. Joining BoxLab will help the Puerto Rican transition into the professional ranks with ease. The prospect has impressed and hopes are high he can go far in the pro game.

His amateur record of 91-4 shows the undeniable ability De León Castro has. He is under the tutelage of his father and trainer, Carlos De León Hernandez, who has been helping his son progress impressively through the ranks. 

Excitement for the Future

Carlos De León Castro spoke in response to signing this deal with BoxLab and starting his professional journey: “I am incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with Boxlab Promotions.”

DAZN Debut

Castro is set to make his professional debut on the Boxlab Promotions card for June 8, 2024, at the Caribe Royale Hotel in Orlando, Florida. Having DAZN televise his debut will offer a great platform for the young Puerto Rican. 

“Making my professional debut on a major platform like DAZN is a dream come true,” De León Castro added. “I am determined to make the most of this opportunity and show the world what I am capable of. My goal is to represent Puerto Rico with pride and become a champion in the pros. This is just the beginning of my journey, and I am ready to make my mark.”
