Regis Prograis Gives Honest Verdict on Devin Haney Ahead of Brian Norman Jr Fight

On November 22, at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Brian Norman Jr vs Devin Haney will feature on the Ring IV card with Norman’s WBO welterweight title on the line. It’s an impressive-looking card that recently had Artur Beterbiev added to the event. Looking ahead to Norman Jr (28-0, 22 KOs) vs Haney (32-0, 15 KOs), Regis Prograis, who fought Haney in 2023, spoke to Fight Hub TV to reveal who he’d put his money on for this world title clash.

Regis Prograis Weighs In on Brian Norman Jr vs Devin Haney

Haney was last seen in action defeating Jose Carlos Ramirez on the May 2 Times Square Card. It was an underwhelming fight, with Haney looking unsure of himself in his first bout since the controversial no contest vs Ryan Garcia in 2024. Norman Jr remains undefeated, but his last three wins have catapulted his career into a new stratosphere.

When talking to Fight Hub TV about Norman Jr vs Haney, Prograis said: “If I had to put money, I would bet money on Devin. I mean, I fought him, and I know how good he is, and it’s like he does…he’s a good boxer. We cannot take that away from him that he is a good boxer. You know, he knows how not to get hit, no matter if he makes it boring.

“Now, we not saying that, but you know, same thing with Ramirez, he moved around, he ran around, you could say he ran around the ring for 12 rounds. Same thing with me, he just, he had good feet, you know, and he just know how to move out of the way. So, I think that’s what he’s gonna do.”

“And then, you gotta think, bro, resumes matter. Like, whose resume is better? Brian Norman’s or Devin Haney’s. I mean, I think a lot of people hate Devin Haney so much because of outside stuff, and they don’t really know him. At the end of the day, I don’t have to like you, but I gotta respect it. You gotta look at his resume, bro. Devin (has) got a resume, Brian Norman don’t have a resume like Devin.”
