Ashton Sylve To Return On Paul-Diaz Card

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and Real Fight Inc. have announced that lightweight prospect Ashton Sylve (9-0, 8 KOs) will return on the Jake Paul-Nate Diaz undercard on August 5. The event is set to take place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas and will be available globally on DAZN PPV. His opponent for that date is Brazilian William Silva (30-4, 18 KOs).

Sylve last fought on May 26 against late replacement Adam Kipenga. The bout headlined a developmental series called Most Valuable Prospects launched by MVP. Sylve won the bout via unanimous decision with all three judges scoring the contest 80-72. In a career that began in October 2020 in Mexico, Sylve was the first prospect signed by MVP in 2022. His return on August 5 will mark his third fight with the promotional company.

“It has always been a dream of mine to fight among legends and shine under the brightest lights,” said Sylve. “MVP has continually given me the opportunity to do so, and I couldn’t be more excited about stepping back into the ring in what promises to be the event of the year. I’ve been grinding like crazy to get ready for this fight, and trust me, my technique and skills will be on full display on August 5th. Dallas, get ready ’cause I’m coming for you! See you soon!”

Silva was last saw action on April 29 defeating Diego Luque via fourth round stoppage. He has fought a number of times in the USA, notably against Teofimo Lopez, Felix Verdejo, Arnold Barboza Jr., and Cletus Seldin. Aside from the bout against Verdejo, he lost by knockout.

“There will be fireworks during this fight,” declared Silva. “I’m fighting for my family and country.”

Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz

Headlining the card will be Jake Paul (6-1, 4 KOs) and Nate Diaz who is making his professional boxing debut. Previously, Diaz competed in MMA and compiled a record of 21-13, defeating the likes of Conor McGregor, Tony Ferguson, and Anthony Pettis. On the other hand, Paul fought earlier this year against rival Tommy Fury in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, losing a split decision.

In addition to the Paul-Diaz main event, Amanda Serrano (44-2-1, 30 KOs) returns to rematch Heather Hardy (24-2, 4 KOs, 1 NC). Sylve will join this card in a bid to continue his rise as a lightweight prospect.
