Josh Wagner
“I’m happy to be here,” said Wagner in an interview with ESBR Boxing at the media day. “The energy is good. There’s always a different feel every fight week. My weight is great. My mindset’s good. I’m ready. I’m ready for it.”
“We made minor adjustments in camp. Just training times, things like that, to adapt to [the different fight environment]. So we’re ready for the time change. The first day you’re a little tired but we figured that out right away. I’m not jetlagged at all. I feel great. My body’s feeling sharp. My mind’s sharp. My weight’s good and I’m ready to kick some ass.”
Fight prediction
Eubank is coming off of a technical decision loss against Jack Catterall that took place earlier this year. The performance did little to inspire confidence of his ability to take on the top welterweights at the moment. However, Friday night’s bout is a return to the kind of opposition he had been facing previously. Eubank should have the skills to get the unanimous decision victory against Wagner.
