Stephanie Han vs. Paulina Angel Fight Recap

Stephanie Han (11-0, 3 KOs) overcame a very early knockdown to eventually claim a unanimous decision win over Paulina Angel (7-2-2, 3 KOs).

Scores for their bout were 98-91 across the board. With the victory, Han remains the WBA lightweight world champion. She won the title earlier this year against Hannah Terlep. This was her first time defending it.

Less than 30 seconds into the opening round, Han was knocked down by a right hand straight to the jaw. She got up immediately, however, and eventually rocked Angel to finish the round strong. The following rounds saw both fighters engage in scrappy flurries.

In the fourth, Han was cut above the left eyebrow from an accidental clash of heads. However, she was already starting to pull away in the contest by then. Angel was always on the front foot, but Han landed the cleaner punches. The reigning champion continued to outwork her opponent till the final bell, ultimately winning a unanimous decision.

Lucas Bahdi (20-0, 15 KOs) won a unanimous decision against Roger Gutiérrez (29-7-1, 22 KOs). Scores for their 12-round lightweight contest were 117-110, 116-111, and 115-112. Gutiérrez was knocked down in the sixth from an overhand right.

Opening the broadcast on DAZN, Ariel Perez (8-0, 4 KOs) won a unanimous decision against Chris Avila (6-2, 0 KOs). Scores for their six-round light heavyweight bout were 59-55 and 58-56 (x2).

Jasmine Artiga vs. Linn Sandstrom Fight Recap

Jasmine Artiga (14-0-1, 7 KOs) applied relentless pressure to get the third round technical knockout win against Linn Sandstrom (10-4-3, 2 KOs).

The bout took place on a portion of the undercard that was broadcast on YouTube. The official time of stoppage was 1:01. With the win, Artiga remains the WBA super flyweight world champion. This was her first defence of the title after winning it earlier this year against Regina Chávez.

Artiga immediately started pressing forward and throwing a high volume of shots. Sandstrom eased the pressure in the opening round with a counter left hook, but punches like that were not landing often. This continued into the subsequent rounds. The fight’s end was not far off.

With over a minute to go in round three, Artiga landed a barrage of punches. With Sandstrom not throwing anything and struggling to defend herself, the referee stepped in with her still standing. The challenger had been struggling with the pressure from Artiga for the entirety of the fight.

Jamaine Ortiz (20-2-1, 10 KOs) won via third round technical knockout against Ambiorix Bautista (19-3, 11 KOs). The official time of stoppage for this 10-round super lightweight fight was 1:32. Bautista was first dropped by a right hook in the third. Following a series of left hooks to the body, he fell to the canvas for a second time, causing the referee to put an end to proceedings.

Natalie Dove (6-0-1, 2 KOs) won via fifth round technical knockout against Randee Lynn Morales (5-6, 3 KOs, 1 NC). The official time of stoppage for this six-round super flyweight clash was 1:50. Morales was taking significant damage throughout the contest. Eventually, the referee stepped in to end proceedings with Morales still standing.

Opening the broadcast on YouTube, Jocelyn Camarillo (5-0, 0 KOs) won a unanimous decision against Agustina Vázquez (4-5-2, 0 KOs). Scores for their four-round light flyweight bout were 40-36 and 39-37 (x2).
