Jaron Ennis vs. Uisma Lima fight recap

Jaron Ennis (35-0, 31 KOs, 1 NC) most certainly proved that Uisma Lima (14-2, 10 KOs) was not on his level.

“Boots” won their super welterweight fight by first round knockout. The official time of stoppage was 1:58. This was Ennis’s first fight at 154 lbs following a period at welterweight that culminated in him becoming a unified world champion.

With roughly two minutes to go in the opening round, Ennis landed a right uppercut that rocked Lima. The American followed that up with three hooks to the head to drop his opponent. Although Lima got up, he was immediately knocked down a second time by a barrage of hooks. The fighter based in Portugal got up once again, but the end was near. Ennis landed a barrage of punches that caused referee Shawn Clark to step in and end proceedings with Lima still standing.
