Chris Eubank Jr. Stops Kamil Szeremeta: Conor Benn Enters the Ring
On October 12, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on the undercard of Dmitry Bivol (23-0, 12 KOs) vs. Artur Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs), Chris Eubank Jr. (34-3, 24 KOs) made his return to the ring against Kamil Szeremeta (25-3-2, 8 KOs). It was a fight that Eubank Jr. won by a comprehensive stoppage. Fight fans in the UK can watch the entire card on DAZN PPV, TNT Sports Box Office, and Sky Sports Box Office, while those in the United States can watch the main event on ESPN+. Viewers in Canada can watch the undercard on DAZN PPV and catch the main event on TSN or RDS.
The opening round saw Eubank Jr. control the tempo and work well behind his jab before landing a crisp one-two combination, which knocked Szeremeta down. The Brighton fighter was in control, but the Polish fighter landed a big right hand towards the end of the round, reminding the Brit not to overlook him.
The following two rounds saw Eubank mostly in control, landing well-timed uppercuts, with Szeremeta looking to smother the work of Eubank. The Brit needs to get back to working off his jab. The Brighton fighter landed a beautiful double uppercut in the fourth – jolting his opponent’s head back. The Polish fighter is having success, but only in single shots.

Eubank Jr. landed a beautiful right hand near the end of round six, which knocked down his Polish opponent, who made it to the end of the round. Round seven saw Eubank come out quickly letting his shots go, and Eubank landed a huge body shot, knocking down Szeremeta. The Brit smelt blood and again continued to work the body, knocking down the Polish fighter once again, with the ref waving it off. An impressive change of gears was enough for Eubank to get the job done in round seven.
No sooner was the fight over, and Conor Benn was in the ring pushing Eubank, with the two exchanging pleasantries, with many in the ring splitting them up. Assuming Benn gets positive news regarding his ban, we could see this huge all-British match-up sooner rather than later.
Eubank Jr. spoke after the fight and reflected on the fight, and said: “I was having fun in there. To be honest, I think I could have finished that fight in the first round.”
Talking about his opponent, he said: “Szeremeta is a tough guy. This guy kept coming.”

As Benn appeared next to Chris Mannix, Eubank spoke of Benn and said: “Speaking of easy work, look who we got next.”
Benn then had his say: “I want you next, let’s do it,” said Benn.
“The Destroyer” continued: After that performance, you think I’m worried.”
