Looking ahead to his fight for IBF glory against Murtazaliev, he said: “I haven’t watched too much of Bakhram. I know that when he gets hit, he comes at you more. That can be a hard style. He’s got that dog in him. But I believe in my abilities and everything is going according to plan. Nothing is supposed to be easy on the road to the top. There’s no such thing as an easy fight. You have to go through the fire.”
Speaking about the big fights available, he said: “This division is red hot. There’s a lot of big matchups to be made. When you think about all the great fighters, there’s going to be a lot of exciting fights and I can’t wait to be a part of them.”
