Ryan Garner vs. Reece Bellotti: Press Conference Quotes and Fight Prediction

Ryan Garner (17-0, 8 KOs) and Reece Bellotti (20-5, 15 KOs) will soon clash in a 12-round super featherweight contest with plenty at stake.

Their bout headlines a Queensberry Promotions card at the Bournemouth International Centre in England. Fight fans around the world can catch the action live on DAZN. Garner will put his European super featherweight title on the line. Bellotti’s Commonwealth and British titles will also be at stake.

Both men spoke at a press conference ahead of their July 26 fight. Below is some of what they had to say.

Ryan Garner vs. Reece Bellotti Press Conference Quotes

Ryan Garner

“I am feeling good and it is good to be headlining again so close to home,” said Garner. “It is a massive opportunity for me, obviously fighting for the British, Commonwealth and European titles, it is all the marbles domestically.”

Obviously I’ve got to get through this one if I want to be a world champion, so I am looking forward to a good fight, an exciting fight. I know everyone will be in for a good fight.”

“Our styles will gel nicely, I think. We both like to have a little fight, but that is not the only thing I’ve got in my armoury. I can box, I can fight, I believe I can do it all, to be honest with you.”

Reece Bellotti

“I am just happy to be here, it is a great event and the European is a title that I’ve always wanted to have,” said Bellotti.“It is the next step for me and it is a fight I am looking forward to.”

“It is going to be one of the hardest of my career, I am under no illusions. Me and Garner have got a lot of respect for each other as fighters and you don’t always have to bad talk each other to make it an exciting fight.”

“Our styles are going to gel well and it is going to be a good fight. You adapt and learn in the ring at the same time andcertain experiences will come to show on the night. I am lucky to have them.”

Fight Prediction

Since losing to Raymond Ford in 2021, Bellotti has won six fights in a row. In that run, he has defeated the likes of Aqib Fiaz, Liam Dillon, and Michael Gomez Jnr. Bellotti also has more success in getting the stoppage compared to his opponent. Garner has also put together some good wins in his recent fights, but the lack of power may be his undoing in this 12-round bout. Expect Bellotti to get outboxed for certain portions of the fight but eventually get the knockout late (by round 10 or 11).
